Our History
William Campbell Waste Disposal Services was established in 1974. The company prospered over the years owning and operating 50 specialised waste collection and disposal vehicles; operating landfill facilities, material recycling facilities and servicing blue chip clients across Scotland and North-East England.
William Campbell Waste Disposal Services sold its operational company to a national waste management organisation. Over the years, the Campbell Family have invested in various commercial enterprises in the UK, which includes our Channel Islands Investment Company, investing over £4M in recycling and waste disposal treatment facility projects to date. To further progress our vision for the future, a feasibility study is being carried out in 2018 to develop and build an Anaerobic Digestion Plant and a Materials Recycling Facility in Central Scotland and Manchester.
William Campbell Recycling origins reside in the waste management company which was formerly operated by the Campbell family and serviced some 700 plus clients. William Campbell Recycling has maintained links with a range of third sector, public and private corporate clients across the UK, some of whom have been engaged in business with the Campbell family for over 30 years.
