“I would like to take this opportunity to thank William Campbell Recycling (WCR) for the excellent services provided over the years to Forth Valley College. WCR have been instrumental in our journey to Zero Waste to Landfill, which I believe is a great achievement and sets an exemplary benchmark in waste management provision standards.
Over the length of the contract, WCR have gained an understanding of the waste demands for all our campuses; they have also been instrumental in arranging for a new suitable container to be installed at the Falkirk campus to cope with the Construction saw dust waste which has reduced the risk management associated for this waste disposal.
Although recycling education has been an ongoing process, involving staff and students alike, it is impossible to totally eliminate contaminants being found in bins and skips. Due to this circumstance, WCR have closely monitored all campuses on a weekly basis to try to eliminate any contamination being found in bins and skips. This action has supported the continuity of services provided and greatly aided us in our goals regarding waste management aspirations.”
